You will fly commercial airlines to any one of several US cities and then connect with a
another American or Mexican Airline to Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Mexico. You can also fly by private plane to El
Fuerte, Sinaloa, Mexico. Upon arrival in Los Mochis or El Fuerte a representative from Trophy Bass Lodge will
meet you at the gate and you will be shuttled to the camp in our air-conditioned vans or Suburbans. Coming
from North America, you will find it an exciting drive. Along the way you will pass through historic Mining
Villages, alongside ancient cactus property boundaries, palm tree oases and ranches that have been worked for
over 500 years. All ground transportation is included in your package price. You may make your own airline
reservations or we can recommend our travel agent to assist you.
CONNECTIONS ** IMPORTANT: Obtain a visa **
Make sure you bring your Passport (A VALID PASSPORT IS REQUIRED TO ENTER MEXICO AND TO RE-ENTER THE UNITED
STATES) and you will be issued a Visa by Mexican Customs at the Port of Entry. Adult Americans travelling
with a minor (17 or under) are required to present a notarized letter from the absent parent/s that they have
permission to take the young person out of the United States. The youth must have a valid Passport as well
to enter Mexico.
- A 5500-foot-long paved airstrip is available at EL FUERTE, Mexico for private aircraft. Aircraft watchmen are available for USD $10-15 /day. Ground transport to the lodge is approximately one and one half hours from EL FUERTE.
- Purchase your commercial flight to LOS MOCHIS, Mexico (which is 600 miles south of Arizona) through ATLANTA, LOS ANGELES, TUCSON, PHOENIX, DALLAS, MEXICO CITY or MAZATLAN. Ground transport to the lodge is approx. two hours and forty five minutes by modern air-conditioned van from Los Mochis.
- Standard arrival days are Sunday and Wednesday. If those days are not possible for you we will attempt to accommodate your arrival day if it can fit with our other arrivals and departure schedules.
PACKAGE PRICES FOR 2009-2010 SEASON (September 1, 2009 through June 15, 2010).
$1250 USD per person 3 full days fishing / 4 nights
lodging
$1600 USD per person 4 full days fishing / 5 nights lodging
$1950 USD per person 5 full days fishing / 6 nights lodging
$2300 USD per person 6 full days fishing / 7 nights lodging
All of the above prices are based on arrival at Los Mochis, Mexico airport.
Trophy Bass Lodge Required Deposit Amount:
To initiate a reservation with Trophy Bass Lodge, a deposit of 50% of the trip cost per angler is required.
Final payments are due 45 days prior to your arrival date. Reservations are not confirmed until deposits for
all guests in group are received and confirmed.
There will be no refunds of any monies paid toward the trip. We cannot guarantee weather, fishing
conditions or mechanical failures, and those factors will not be a cause for a price adjustment or refund.
However, if notice is give at least 30 days prior to scheduled trip departures, all monies paid may be applied
to the then current retail price for a future trip. The new trip must be taken within 12 months from the date
of the cancelled trip. We strongly recommend trip cancellation insurance in case of a last minute
emergency, illness or other covered reason for cancellation. We can assist you in obtaining this
insurance. Typically, the cost of an extensive program is less than $75 per $1,000 of coverage. It is
important always to consult with your personal health insurance service provider before undertaking any type
of travel to determine what is covered in the event of injury or illness during your travels.
We encourage you to plan your reservation well in advance of your trip to insure that you will travel during
the dates most convenient for you.
DELAYS:
We cannot be responsible for costs associated with changes or cancellations in flight schedules that the
airline may institute.
Included in the Trophy Bass Lodge Package:
- Round-trip transfers from LMM airport to the Lodge.
- Full lodging accommodations.
- Daily maid and laundry service.
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Beverages at Lodge and while fishing to include beer, margaritas, soft drinks and bottled water *We (TBL) reserve the right to limit the number of beers consumed by each client when health or safety issues are involved.
- Three days guided fishing (2 anglers per boat) boat and fuel.
- Fishing license and Huites lake permit.
- Fishing Rods and Reels (BC & SC).
Not included in the Trophy Bass Lodge Package:
- Airfare to Los Mochis, Mexico.
- Telephone calls.
- Tackle eg: terminal tackle, lures, consumables.
- Drinks (Margaritas and Beer) after 9:00 pm.
- Gratuities to guides, drivers and Lodge staff.
- Gifts or items of a personal nature.
Options:
Extra full or one half day of fishing USD $250.00 per person.
Extra full day of fishing and overnight stay USD $350 per person.
Extra fuel surcharge for odd day arrival and departure USD $150.00 round trip per vehicle.
Uneven number of persons fishing in a group incurs a charge of US$85 per day.
LODGING ONLY: Includes three hot meals, soft drinks, margaritas, beer, bottled water and boat security. Full
or half day US$125.00 per day.
Fishing License and Lake Permit: Lake Huites federal fishing permit - no need to worry: it's included in the
package
Tipping:
Normal tipping is not included for Lodge staff or guides
"Normal" tipping for your guide is USD $40.00 to $50.00 per day per boat, whether one or two fishermen, and
should be paid directly to the guide on the last day.
"Normal" tipping for Lodge staff is USD $60.00 to $75.00 per 3 D/4N trip per angler paid to the manager, who
will divide it amongst the staff. Extra days are suggested at $20.00 per day. Tips to van driver are suggested
at USD $20.00 at the end of the trip.
